You know that it can be hard to help your kids open their mouths when it’s time to brush their teeth. But it’s very important to help your children brush their teeth–especially if you want them to enjoy a healthy smile. Do you ever wonder what you can do to make brushing fun so your children won’t fight it?
Fortunately, there are a number of things you can consider doing. First, try to make your children a part of the decision making when buying their toothbrush and toothpaste. As you probably know, toothbrushes can come in many fun colors and can have popular cartoon characters printed on them. Your children may also be happier brushing their teeth if they chose their own flavor of toothpaste.
You might be able to help your children enjoy brushing more simply by incorporating music and games into brushing time. You see, if you find a song your kids enjoy, singing or playing it while they brush could be helpful. Similarly, your children may enjoy a few games. One popular option is taking turns brushing with a child. You could also brush while your child is brushing.
You may be able to find an app that can help your children’s brushing experience. Offering incentives could also help, even if the incentives are relatively small, such as stickers or books. Doing these things could help your kids understand how important brushing and oral hygiene really are.
